Expereo Furthers SD-WAN/SASE Expansion with Acquisition

By Greg Tavarez

Cloud-based applications and SD-WAN technologies are being widely adopted. The global SD-WAN market size is projected to reach $5.2 billion by 2028, from $995.2 million in 2021, according to Market Reports World.

The rapid adoption of cloud-based applications and the advances in SD-WAN technologies are putting internet-based WANs at the center of enterprise business models. Increasingly, they are embracing SD-WAN to make it easy to adopt connectivity solutions that are programmable, scalable automated and affordable.

Managed network solutions provider Expereo is committed to simplifying the sourcing and management of such network solutions. The company is also committed to ensuring good customer experiences to cater to the needs of its MSP partners and multinational clients.

With that commitment, Expereo announced the acquisition of Breeze Networks. The acquisition will fuel Expereo’s growth trajectory, further enhancing its SD-WAN/SASE practice, building on its expanding range of services to manage SD-WAN solutions at scale to partners and multinational enterprise customers across the globe.

Breeze Networks provides managed cloud-based network connectivity and security solutions for enterprises and government agencies.

“Having recently worked with Expereo on a global deployment for one of our customers, we witnessed first-hand the shared values of both companies and commitment to providing excellence in delivery and customer service," said George Cowan, managing director of breeze networks.

Expereo welcomed Matthew Lea, chief technology officer of Breeze Networks, as technical portfolio lead. Lea will drive Expereo’s expansion plans for its SD-WAN/SASE practice to solidify its presence in the U.K. market.

“This acquisition comes at an exciting time, as we expand our SD-WAN services,” said Irwin Fouwels, CEO of Expereo. “The expertise of the team of professionals behind Breeze Networks will contribute great value as we join forces.”

This latest acquisition solidifies Expereo’s ambition to complement its managed network solutions with advisory practice providing guidance to organizations' global transformation to software-defined and internet-based networking. Expereo says it intends to continue its acquisition strategy with support from investor Vitruvian Partners and minority investor Apax Partners SAS.
