Ingram Micro Named Fortinet Distributor of the Year

Ingram Micro Named Fortinet Distributor of the Year

By Greg Tavarez

As the business technology space has become more complex and as vendors seek to increase their market share and reach customers in new markets, the channel has become an increasingly valuable resource.  MSPs, distributors, and other partners have access to a vast customer base that most vendors simply don’t have the resources to manage on their own.  That’s why so many technology vendors place increasing focus on their partner communities, including recognizing the best among their partners.

To that end, Fortinet’s Partner of the Year Awards recognize dedicated Fortinet partners and distributors worldwide, and Ingram Micro Inc. was named Fortinet’s Distributor of the Year for the U.S. for the second consecutive year, fifth time overall.

Fortinet attributes Ingram Micro’s continued success to its ability to deliver year-over-year growth for Fortinet’s partners and its security solutions portfolio. Fortinet’s channel partners, including Ingram Micro, help Fortinet secure users, devices, applications and edges.

“We take great pride in growing the Fortinet business and enabling Fortinet channel partners throughout the U.S. Ingram Micro also brings an array of unique resources to Fortinet’s channel partners, including our Cybersecurity Center of Excellence, our Security Tech Force and our financial services portfolio,” said Eric Kohl, vice president, networking and security, Ingram Micro. “Our business and technical resources are growth accelerators for channel partners, and we’re honored to be recognized by Fortinet for our efforts and commitment.”

The Ingram Micro team welcomed 1,000-plus new partners to the Fortinet partner program and worked to get them onboarded with a focus on training, education and enablement in 2021. Additionally, Ingram Micro’s Fortinet Forward program was developed to bring specialized support and more dedicated resources to those channel partners in the U.S. who led with or standardize on Fortinet solutions.
