MPaaS Helping Agencies with Data & Insights

MPaaS Helping Agencies with Data & Insights

By Stefania Viscusi

Data is incredibly important today. From collecting massive amounts of information - to finding efficient systems that can analyze and extract valuable insights from it - there’s so much that data has to offer to transform operations and lives.

For business and management, data collection contains the quality information needed to make improvements and optimizations that transform their future potential.

The problem with handling so much data though and getting the right information from it - is knowing exactly what sources to monitor and the course of action that happens after it’s been collected.

For federal agencies, there’s an added layer as most are working towards improvements for the good of the public while dealing with not having enough staff in house skilled to handle data science.

To keep this data working efficiently at all times, the use of managed platforms is necessary. They can keep siloed and disparate data formatted and correlated properly and accelerate the insights and actions taken by these agencies.

The only way to gain the deep insights needed for real change, is to collect the right data from multiple sources and then have analytics in place that break down everything from current facts to future best-outcomes based on the statistical data.

This can be done with a combination of Managed Platform-as-a-Service (MPaaS) and Managed Data Analytic Services.

And now’s the perfect time for investing in these platforms as decision makers are aware and ready to make needed investments in IT services.

Managed service providers will play a key role in helping these agencies to set up, configure and install these platforms in secure environments and powered to measure and extract based on their needs. All while benefiting from the cost savings that cloud services provide.

As Keith Kapp is the chief technology officer of CVP recently noted in a post on the topic, “Using data insights, MPaaS can cost-effectively accelerate an agency’s journey towards gaining unfettered access to troves of data. And employing data analytics managed service, assisted by AI/ML, can rapidly accelerate the journey towards gaining actionable insights.”

Having these offerings running as a hosted service in the cloud also eliminates the high costs associated with traditional, in-house data warehouse platforms while also adding better scalability and operational performance.

With good data and analytics, organizations can establish benchmarks and set performance goals. They can also free up resources to focus on the core tasks and mission of the organization without having to oversee the data management and analysis.

To learn more about opportunities for managed service providers in today’s landscape, be sure to attend the upcoming MSP EXPO happening February 8-11, 2022 at the Broward County Convention Center in Fort Lauderdale, Fla. MSP Expo is where business owners and technology specialists in the channel come together to network and grow their managed services business.
