Wipro Teams with Oracle for Zero Cost Transformation

Wipro Teams with Oracle for Zero Cost Transformation

By Stefania Viscusi

Businesses looking to improve efficiencies and cut costs at their operations can now benefit from an offering just announced by Wipro Limited.

Wipro Zero Cost Transformation is the result of a collaboration with Oracle and makes the migration of workloads to Oracle Cloud Infrastructure more cost and time-efficient.

With digital transformations occurring at businesses across the globe, those that have already invested heavily in Oracle on-premise offerings can now move to Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) for the added benefits of the cloud while still maintaining their previous investments.

“As the cloud takes on strategic importance, we are committed to making the transition as easy as possible for organizations worldwide. The launch of the Zero Cost Transformation offering for OCI is a testament to Wipro’s partnership approach with customers. We look forward to developing further solutions with Oracle that empower companies to embrace the cloud quickly, effectively, and with an eye toward value,” said Harish Dwarkanhalli, President, Applications & Data, Wipro Limited.

Wipro Limited is a global information technology, consulting, and business process services company that uses cognitive computing, hyper-automation, robotics, cloud, analytics, and emerging technologies to help clients adapt to the digital world.

The company, which is already a member of Oracle PartnerNetwork (OPN) and an Oracle Managed Service Expertise partner, built this latest offering on its six-step migration methodology and proprietary tools and accelerators so that businesses can take advantage of a fast and secure migration to OCI while also benefiting from a reduced total cost of ownership.

Issues such as excessive costs, ineffective implementations, and slow processes are typical hurdles faced by enterprises during digital transformations. This latest offering makes it possible to migrate workloads to OCI and shift from a CAPEX to OPEX model. In a managed services framework, enterprises are also not having to deal with multiple service providers and can have easier access to tools and help while quickly and secure migrating.

“Zero Cost Transformation, a unique offering from Wipro, enables organizations to leverage the power of the cloud to meet rapidly changing market and business needs. We strongly believe that organizations that are invested in the Oracle on-premise landscape and are seeking the opportunities offered by the Oracle Cloud will benefit from this initiative,” said Doug Smith, Senior Vice President, Strategic Partnerships, Oracle.
