Wipro to Provide CA Technologies Solutions for DevOps Through Expanded Partnership

By Laura Stotler

Wipro and CA Technologies have expanded their alliance and will work together to deliver next-gen DevOps solutions for testing, virtualization and automation. Wipro, which provides IT consulting and business process services, will utilize CA’s extensive portfolio of offerings through the strengthened relationship.

CA solutions include service virtualization, automated release and continuous delivery and continuous validation and monitoring. Offerings are designed to optimize customers’ application development and delivery processes through a comprehensive DevOps strategy.

Wipro will offer its testing services packaged with the CA DevOps suite to its customers throughout the world through the new deal. The company specializes in services that help its clients create adaptive and flexible business practices and has more than 140,000 workers spanning six continents. In a testament to its diversity, Wipro partnered with OpenLink last month to better serve customers in the energy and commodities markets. OpenLink specializes in transaction lifecycle management (TLM) software geared toward the energy, commodity and financial services industries.

“All companies face tremendous pressure to deliver higher quality applications faster at lower cost than ever before, so they look for solutions that can address their challenges - especially testing – which has always been the biggest bottleneck for the systems development lifecycle,” said Shridhar Mittal, general manager of application delivery for CA Technologies. “Our solutions can help optimize the entire process by removing the bottlenecks.”

Kumudha Sridharan, vice president and head of testing services at Wipro, added, “Wipro will leverage the DevOps Center of Excellence to build capability and competency, develop Proof of Concepts to address customer needs and deliver services in line with customer requirements. We have seen tremendous success and benefits through implementation of CA Service Virtualization offerings across a large set of our customers.”

Wipro launched its own Customer Experience Center in Mountain View, CA this week, offering a space to demonstrate emerging technologies and enable customers to experience its solutions in practice. The Center is powered by Cisco’s unified computing system (UCS) and leverages infrastructure for the SAP Hana platform as well as a common platform architecture for big data and Cisco’s Application Centric Infrastructure (ACI).
