A major consumer packaged goods company has contracted with Corbus, LLC on managed strategic sourcing services. The MSP, which specializes in sourcing and procurement as well as IT services, will provide direct and indirect services to the unnamed Fortune 50 customer, across multiple spend categories.
Corbus will be involved with managing packaging spends across Europe for the customer, enabling the company to consolidate the number of vendors it works with while ensuring it delivers high levels of quality in a cost-effective manner.
The MSP will also ensure all contracts and terms the company agrees to, enabling added efficiencies. Corbus will accomplish this by using SLAs to track on-time delivery, ordering cycle times, blocked invoice resolution and more.
Corbus recently partnered with content and technology solutions provider LexisNexis, offering two of the company’s products to help clients mitigate supply chain risks. Prior to that, the service provider teamed up with Sitecore, a developer of business application software. The companies are working together to deliver better Web experiences for Corbus customers, and Corbus’ Web developers are using Sitecore’s software as a platform to build and host applications for global clients.
In addition to building out their business in the strategic sourcing and procurement space, Corbus had a recent customer win providing desktop and mobile development and support to a multinational company. Services will be focused on the client’s Chinese presence, expanding consumer engagement as well as end-to-end and business-to-business strategies. Corbus also announced a contract win to provide services to an international digital and print publisher. The company is providing project management services surrounding consumer relationship building through the company’s social media campaigns.
"Strategic sourcing and procurement play important roles in the overall cost structure and competitiveness of businesses, and we are proud to be utilized by one of the largest CPG companies in the world to support them in this area,” said Joe Basalla, COO of Corbus, about the new consumer packaged goods customer win. “We expect this new opportunity to produce a reduction in cost, increase in profitability and optimize the supply chain for them."
