Cloud4Wi Establishes U.S. Headquarters and Launches MSP Program

By Laura Stotler

Italian cloud Wi-Fi provider Cloud4Wi is taking on the North American market with new headquarters in San Francisco and an expanded Managed Service Provider program. North American MSPs now have access to the company’s managed, cloud-based Wi-Fi marketplace and associated apps, which can be tailored to meet the needs of individual users and industries.

More and more cloud solution providers are discovering the importance of partnerships as they look for strategic ways to distribute their apps and offerings. MSPs provide a ready-made channel for delivering apps to enterprises, SMBs and other end users and can be valuable allies for packaging apps and solutions with additional, value-added offerings.

Andrea Cacagno, CEO of Cloud4Wi, said that the new MSP program lets service providers easily take advantage of the estimated $8.5 billion global Wi-Fi market while enhancing their existing Wi-Fi offerings. The company’s offerings are easily scaled and tailored to support Wi-Fi strategies as they relate to social media, analytics, marketing, advertising and branded offerings, enabling MSPs to quickly expand their revenue streams.

The Cloud4Wi platform enables access to a Wi-Fi marketplace comprised of applications hosted by Cloud4Wi. These include tools for analyzing user demographics and behaviors, as well as solutions for customizing the user experience according to preferences and interests. Additional apps include Geo Chat, Net Coupons, which provides instant discounts, and nearby, which provides details about businesses in the area. The marketplace also provides access to the Instant Win contest app, Pin-Up, which enables visitor comments, and weather and news apps.

MSP program participants can benefit from a starter kit explaining the Cloud4Wi platform and instructing them on how to develop pilot projects with minimum upfront licensing investments. The company also offers online training courses in which partners can learn how to configure, manage support and sell managed Wi-Fi offerings. Additional perks include multiple levels of support based on training, customer support from Cloud4Wi and discounts, as well as help with deal registration and sales cycle assistance.
