Cbeyond's Channel Program Brings TotalCloud Foundation Solution to MSP Partners

By Laura Stotler

When it comes to working with its managed service provider (MSP) partners, cloud communications provider Cbeyond supplies all the tools they need to succeed in the cloud. The company, which recently participated at the Cloud4SMB Expo, collocated with ITEXPO in Miami in January, recently introduced the TotalCloud Foundation on their cloud platform, enabling white labeling and management from MSP and other types of channel partners.

TMC’s Paula Bernier spoke with Joey Penick, director of channel marketing at Cbeyond, about bringing TotalCloud Foundation to the company’s MSP partners and what that means for Cbeyond. Penick, along with executive vice president and CTO Chris Gatch, participated in panel discussions at the Cloud4SMB Expo.

“At Cbeyond, we get somewhere around 40 to 50 percent of our revenue through our indirect channel,” said Penick. He added that the company’s channel program provides a fully collaborative environment that is designed to bring partners together to sell customer solutions.

The TotalCloud Foundation offering provides an ideal fit for MSPs in that it caters to both tech-savvy customers as well as those who need to schedule and manage specific IT tasks like OS patching, backups, and anti-virus setups. The solution provides an SOC 2/3 compiant data center through which service providers may run a highly available server environment on a wide range of operating systems.

Cbeyond recently opened a new regional data center in Las Vegas providing enhanced support for MSPs as well as small-to-medium sized businesses using the company’s TotalCloud Data Center platform. The new facility is optimized for cloud services delivery and doubles Cbeyond’s cloud data center infrastructure capacity. Features include enhanced broadband connectivity through Cbeyond’s dedicated network as well as near-net fiber networks supplied through the company’s tier-one network partners.
