Cloudways Launches Beta of Click&Go Managed Cloud App Platform

Cloudways Launches Beta of Click&Go Managed Cloud App Platform

By Laura Stotler

Cloudways has launched a new managed platform that enables users to launch applications on scalable cloud servers with dedicated IP addresses within minutes. The new Click&Go platform, which is in public beta, offers server-side security and performance through a resilient and easy to use managed platform that lets customers launch apps in one click.

The new platform currently supports WordPress, Magento, Drupal, Joomla and MediaWiki, and Cloudways plans to add more apps soon. Apps are deployed on Amazon Web Services (AWS) secure cloud servers, and Cloudways plans to add additional cloud service providers soon.

"The Click&Go platform offers agility and ease with customization and control," said Aaqib Gadit, co-founder of Cloudways. "Unlike other platforms available, Click&Go is not a black box."

"What we have built here is a platform that allows [users] to build reliable services in the cloud and at the same time, it gives the customers control and assurance over their most valuable asset: their data," added Pere Hospital, CTO and co-founder of Cloudways. "We provide a highly optimized cloud environment, thanks to our Nginx-Varnish-Memcached-Apache combo."

The platform’s console enables simple self management as well as a variety of server and application management features. Users may control a number of services, including Apache, MySQL, Nginx, Memcached and Varnish. System backups may also be scheduled at intervals as needed, and users can also backup files manually. Users may also monitor up to 15 server metrics like free memory, idle CPU, Varnish hits and APC fill ratio.

The platform is offered on a “pay as you go” basis, enabling users to only pay for the resources they use each month. It also provides enriched security managed by Cloudways, and the company handles all updates and patches. The MSP has eight data centers available, and users may choose to host servers in locations throughout the U.S., Europe, Asia and South America. Servers offer dedicated IPs and support multi-app deployment on a single server.
