Industry Leaders Partner for Greatness

Industry Leaders Partner for Greatness

By Maria Meyer

When industry leaders partner together great advances happen. The product of such a partnership will be demonstrated at Centrify’s booth number 2015 and Elastica’s booth number 304 at the RSA Conference.  Using Centrify’s knowledge and abilities in unified identity services data center, cloud and mobile applications as well as Elastica’s advances in cloud security, the resulting product will protect users as they use cloud services. The result of their partnership is a product that will protect users and offer control.

To achieve the desired result Centrify and Elastica coordinate their products by having the Centrify User Suite stop password sprawl to protect identity and Elastica’s Cloud SOC then offer security for cloud applications. Users gain control over access to cloud applications and can monitor how the applications are being used so they can confirm that they are being used for business purposes without data leakage and at the same time performance is maintained.

Centrify’s identity management software and cloud based identity-as-a-service (IDaaS) helps to lower cost and increase efficiency by using existing identity infrastructure for single sign-on. Typically Centrify customers can reduce their cost for identity management and compliancy by over 50 percent. Five thousand customers worldwide use Centrify, including around half of the Fortune 50 and over 60 Federal agencies.

Elastica is an industry leader in cloud application security allowing users to navigate cloud applications safely and remain compliant. They also offer cloud audit for Shadow IT, granular transaction visibility, threat detection, security controls and post incident forensic analysis. Their headquarters is in San Jose, California, and they are backed by the Mayfield Fund.

In today’s workforce, cloud-based services have been appealing due to their affordability and ease of implementation, but up until now the main issue has been security. With this partnership security and identity management has been addressed.
