SysAid Recognized for Cloud-based ITSM Platform

By Laura Stotler

SysAid Technologies Ltd., a provider of IT service management (ITSM) solutions, has been recognized for its cloud-based platform by a global awards program. The company was named Cloud ITSM Solution of the Year by the Cloud Awards, a global program that recognizes companies for their cloud computing offerings in 20 categories.

The cloud-based ITSM platform from SysAid offers a variety of tools for managing global IT support from the cloud, via a single, cost-effective platform. Features include helpdesk, asset management, analytics and mobile device management (MDM), making it an ideal solution for organizations of all sizes.

“We have invested significant time and effort into making SysAid the world’s leading cloud-based ITSM solution,” said Sarah Lahav, CEO of SysAid. “We’re proud to be recognized for our commitment to the cloud, and we look forward to introducing major enhancements to our platform in 2014.”

The company’s founder and chairman, Israel Lifshitz, predicted an 80 percent cloud adoption rate among new customers by the end of last year. This was based on the company’s existing cloud adoption rates as well as the massive uptake in global cloud adoption and migration. To meet expected demand, SysAid opened a North American data center in December specifically for cloud users, offering high-performance infrastructure. The company also upgraded its user interface for both the cloud-based and on-premises ITSM platform with a new version that was released in October.

The cloud-based ITSM market has been steadily growing, and TechNavio estimates the CAGR at 16.82 percent from 2013 to 2018. According to the research group, more and more organizations are demanding affordable ITSM solutions, which has served to fuel growth. The increased prevalence of BYOD is also impacting the market, although this trend could pose challenges as service providers scramble to support secure anywhere, any device access to sensitive company data.
