New Skyhigh Enterprise CloudRisk Dashboard Takes the Guesswork Out of Assessing Cloud Adoption Risks

By Laura Stotler

The cloud is ubiquitous these days as more and more enterprises find ways to utilize cloud apps, storage and computing power. And yet many organizations are hesitant about migrating some or their entire IT infrastructure to the cloud due to perceived security and other risks.

Skyhigh Networks has come up with a solution and has introduced their Skyhigh Enterprise CloudRisk Dashboard. The offering is designed specifically to help companies quantify the risk associated with using public cloud services as well as ease the minds of decision makers and IT departments interested in migrating to the cloud.

The solution uses advanced analytics to help organizations understand and manage cloud risks while also offering an objective, data-driven approach to both monitoring and reducing cloud risk. The Skyhigh Enterprise CloudRisk Dashboard offers full visibility into the use of cloud services within an IT environment, letting IT, security and executive teams gain access to valuable information to help with decision making.

"For years, financial services' firms have been using objective, quantitative credit scores to evaluate potential lending risk," said Rajiv Gupta, CEO and founder of Skyhigh Networks. "With Enterprise CloudRisk Dashboard, we aim to bring a similar approach to managing cloud services so that our customers can adopt new applications while minimizing risk."

The company has also partnered with the Cloud Security Alliance (CSA) to help establish standards to reduce the risk of cloud adoption. "We are pleased to partner with Skyhigh as they take the lead in putting these standards in practice by providing continuous visibility and risk-based insights,” said Jim Reavis, co-founder and CEO of the Cloud Security Alliance. “Most importantly, these capabilities are easy to digest and actionable which is critical for widespread adoption."

Features of the Skyhigh offering include a CloudRisk Score that assesses overall risk by examining service, user and data risk factors. CloudRisk Recommendations offer actionable suggestions for reducing risk and improving performance, while CloudRisk Benchmarks analyze an organization’s risk across internal departments by comparing it to industry peers. CloudRisk Trends shows changes to the CloudRisk Score and tracks trends in user, service and data risk over time.
