MSP Jinny Software Providing Managed Messaging for CWI Caribbean

By Laura Stotler

In a major new agreement, Irish MSP Jinny Software will be providing messaging platforms to CWI Caribbean Limited (LIME). The company, which specializes in providing messaging, communication and signaling management solutions to wireless carriers, has signed a multi-year managed services contract with LIME.

The deal has Jinny delivering and managing the Jinny SMSC, Messaging Gateway and Filtering engine to the carrier. This provides secure messaging services to LIME’s subscriber base throughout the Caribbean Islands.

Jinny is also providing the Jinny Cloud MMSC service through the contract, and a geo-redundant deployment ensures high levels of availability and service performance. Jinny also handles operational management of all platforms, enabling LIME to pass along high levels of customer service to their subscribers.

“We are delighted to win this new contract for managed and cloud based services with LIME,” said Richard Choi, chief commercial officer for Jinny Software. “Managed services are a fast-growing part of our business as we help our customers to optimize and consolidate their VAS infrastructure to realize the maximum ROI and margins on all services delivered to their customers.”

In addition to their messaging platforms, Jinny offers mobile VAS infrastructure, security, filtering and control services and diameter signaling solutions. The company’s customers include mobile network operators, virtual network operators and enablers and enterprises.

Earlier this week the MSP announced it had signed eight new MMSC contracts last year, including a mix of on-site deployment, managed services and cloud services. The contracts span the globe and include customers in the U.S., Cyrus, Barbados, Belgium, Saudi Arabia, Kuwait and Myanmar.

Jinny’s MMSC offering provides scalability and high levels of support for content-based services in addition to native support for multi-tenancy. According to the company, the results include a faster return on investment for customers as well as a better total cost of ownership.
