Custom Computer Specialists Receives CompTIA MSP Partners Trustmark for Best Practices

By Laura Stotler

Northeast MSP Custom Computer Specialists has received the CompTIA MSP Partners Trustmark. The benchmark affirms the company engages in industry best practices to serve customers and is given out by CompTIA, the not-for-profit accreditation association for the IT industry.

CompTIA awards the MSP Partners Trustmark based on a variety of criteria. The association evaluates a company’s business operations, including systems, technology tools and organizational structure. It also examines MSPs’ standard operating procedures along with IT service specific activities for network, server or end-user devices.

“This credential identifies Custom as an IT service provider that’s demonstrated a high level of competency through their use of prescribed industry best practices and processes.” said Todd Thibodeaux, president and CEO, CompTIA.

Custom joins more than 100 MSPs from throughout the U.S., Canada, U.K. and Australia to earn the Trustmark. According to CompTIA, the credential is an important one as customers are more likely to purchase services from companies they trust, and awards like the Trustmark are becoming more prominent throughout the IT community.

That was certainly the case for MSP New Millennium Technology Services, which researched its options and discovered there weren’t many credentials available for B2B computer support organizations. The company ultimately signed up for the CompTIA program and became an MSP Partners Trustmark holder.

“Without licensing requirements or similarly regulated standards in place for the IT industry, I looked for a highly reputable alternative that could validate our business practices and help boost our company’s presence and marketability,” said Frank Bravata, president of New Millennium. “CompTIA helped us as we went through the credentialing process and ensured that we were doing everything right, and we learned so much about the other association benefits that we became members right away.”

Custom also provides a client-centric focus with its managed services offerings, making the MSP a good fit for the Trustmark. The company specializes in providing Northeast public and private sector clients with flexible and extensive IT capabilities, helping them get the most value from their IT investments.
