Zimory, BIM Team Up to Offer Integrated Cloud Management Solutions

A new cloud management partnership has been announced between Berlin cloud management software provider Zimory and Business Infrastructure Management (BIM), which has headquarters in Germany and Switzerland. Business process and service management provider BIM will be offering Zimory’s cloud management solutions to their cloud service provider customers through the deal.

The integration will offer service providers all the benefits of the Cloud Suite from Zimory, which are backed by engineering, support and operations from BIM. The Suite enables service providers to offer consumption-based pricing along with resource scalability and elasticity.

Features of the cloud management software include automation of the creation, launch and delivery of scalable cloud environments. These include public, private, virtual private and hybrid clouds, thereby lowering the delivery and provisioning time needed for implementing cloud deployments.

The Cloud Suite also offers cloud brokerage capabilities for BIM’s service provider customers, and they will be able to participate in the Deutsche Boerse Cloud Exchange. The vendor neutral cloud marketplace is set to begin trading activity next year.

The Cloud Exchange is designed to provide a commodity market for infrastructure-as-a-service (IaaS) resources. Participants will offer a variety of industry-regulated, vendor neutral cloud services. Benefits will include price transparency for customers as well as the ability to compare among cloud providers through a single interface.
