Managed Service Provider Week in Review

Managed Service Provider Week in Review

By Laura Stotler

When it comes to managed services, who you partner with is just as important as what you are offering. Companies are increasingly joining forces to take advantage of one another’s strengths, and this week brought a variety of key partner announcements in the MSP world.

Quantum Corp. unveiled a new partner program for MSPs and VARs interested in expanding their cloud service portfolios. The program helps providers sell cloud backup-as-a-service (BaaS) offerings powered by the company’s vmPRO backup software and virtual deduplication appliances. Quantum also helps its parnters brand, market and sell their services through capacity-based subscription pricing.

AccelOps decided two partners are better than one, and the company announced two key deals this week. Referentia will work with AccelOps to offer a new line of managed security services based on the company’s IT operations management solution. The company has also teamed with MSP enkompas Technology Solutions, which will use AccelOps to create a new IaaS service featuring analytics-based operations capabilities.

MSP Lincoln Computer Services announced a different type of partnership this week, teaming up with Cogent Growth Partners to expand its operations. Lincoln, which offers cloud, managed and professional services, is working with Cogent to create a new strategy for acquisitions and growth.
