eHDF Observes Increasing Demand for Cloud and Managed Hosting Solutions

By Laura Stotler

Customer demand for cloud services and managed hosting solutions is on the rise, according to eHosting DataFort (eHDF). The company, a cloud and managed services provider (MSP) that also offers disaster recovery and business continuity solutions, has observed steady growth in demand for its offerings.

According to Yasser Zeineldin, CEO of eHDF, companies are increasingly looking to access knowledge along with technical expertise and innovation, and they want the entire package from a local service provider. In addition to a proven track record, customers expect a predictable and affordable cost model from their service providers.

"We have been continuously investing in the latest technologies in order to provide different routes to deliver this value to clients,” said Zeineldin. “Regional CIOs can then allocate their IT resources to innovation and developing business applications rather than spending time on mundane operational activities."

Some big-name tech companies are certainly banking on the cloud, with number of high profile players making major cloud strategy announcements just within the past month. These include Oracle, which rolled out 10 new cloud services to compete directly with AWS and Salesforce.com; Verizon, which debuted an IaaS platform as well as an object storage service; and Microsoft, which announced solutions that will complement Office 365 and further the company’s cloud strategy.

eHDF also made a cloud announcement earlier in the month, debuting its Managed Remote Back-up data storage services. The company’s solution relies on keeping two copies of critical data, one at the customer premises and another in a remote location, accessible via secure network. Services include a management console and 24x7 monitoring of backup processes.

In addition to these new managed backup services, eHDF provides managed storage, host-based intrusion prevention, URL penetration testing and remote managed security services.
