CtrlS Becomes India's First ISO 22301 Certified Data Center

By Brian Anderson

CtrlS, an IT enabled MSP based in India, announced last week that it has received ISO 22301.2012 certification, making it the first data center in India to receive the distinguished accreditation. With the company’s two facilities in Hyderabad and Mumbai certified for the next three years, CtrlS can provide quality business continuity management services for its customers.

“The ISO certification reaffirms the standard of services that CtrlS provide to our customers to ensure they continue to operate during the most challenging and unexpected circumstances. Understanding that business continuity is of paramount importance to customers, the ISO standard ensures business keep running, despite any disruption,” said Edwin Kolen, COO of CtrlS, in a statement.

ISO 22301 identifies the fundamentals of a business continuity management system, establishing the process, principles and terminology of business continuity management. It helps the trained company better understand and develop business continuity as well as implement it in the organization’s day to day activities. This will lead to better handling when it comes to B2B and B2C marketing.

“[The certification] will help CtrlS enhance confidence in clients and also contribute to raising the caliber of this industry,” continued Kolen, “fostering top-class practices to maintain a sustainable environment, and optimizing the use of energy sources through more efficient techniques to avoid waste.”

Since receiving certification, CtrlS has improved overall company performance by prioritizing customer service as well as quality assurance in its plan of action. The certification also helps the company focus on the integration risk management and business continuity management systems without having to worry about losing potential customers during the integration.

CtrlS is an IT enabled MSP that owns one of Asia’s largest Tier 4 data centers. The company offers private cloud on demand, cloud hosting and cloud servers hosting solutions for recognizable clients such as Verizon, Marriott and Bajaj.
