SOS Online Backup Expands Partner Program with Multi-Tenant Capabilities for Dashboard

By Laura Stotler

New multi-tenant capabilities have been added the the SOS Partner Dashboard from SOS Online Backup. The features are part of the company's expanded partner program and aim to help participants expand offerings to their own channel of online backup resellers.

The company's solution, powered by Infrascale, lets managed service providers (MSPs) and other partners create an online backup distribution business.

SOS strives to integrate with its partners' businesses instead of acting as a stand-alone solution sold with a small commission that is payable to the partner. The new dashboard helps the company meet this goal, and SOS is already white labeling its application, marketing and sales materials in tandem with the new features.

The enhanced centralized management portal is available for all SOS partners. Distributors may use it to create additional "child" partner dashboards under their own accounts and partners may also create individual dashboards for businesses they sell to directly. The dashboard is used to control and contain all remote backup policies, software downloads, account monitoring tools, re-branding and account creation tools.

In addition to multi-tenant capabilities, the Distributor Program also provides discounts on aftermarket storage. The online backup application is also available to distributors, and may be hosted privately by partners or in a hosted solution through SOS Online Backup.

"We've developed the SOS Partner Dashboard for distributors with customization and downstream potential in mind", said Ken Shaw, CEO of Infrascale. "Our distributors want the product to fit in their businesses and we want to be one of the few partners to provide it to them. The addition of multi-tenancy to the Dashboard empowers MSPs to grow their businesses, beyond what they ever thought possible. Creating their own channel will be a massive boost to their revenue."

Parent company Infrascale provides U.S. military-grade secure data center facilities throughout the world. As a SaaS provider, the company offers solutions like Backup-as-a-Service, Archiving-as-a-Service and Fileserver-as-a-Service. In addition to SOS Online Backup, Infrascale is the parent company of Enterprise Protect and FileLocker.
