MSP VI.NET Competing for 2 ISPA Awards

By Laura Stotler

Managed services provider (MSP) VI.NET is a contender for the upcoming ISPA Awards, the company announced. The awards are given by The Internet Services Providers' Association (ISPA UK), a U.K. trade association designed to bring together providers of Internet services in the region.

VI.NET is competing for Managed Service Innovation and Best SME Business Hosting within the ISPA Awards, and has been shortlisted for both categories. More than 40 companies were shortlisted, and winners in 15 categories are slated to be announced in July at a ceremony in London.

The MSP will be judged based on a number of criteria, including the flexibility and scalability of its services. Other determining factors include hours of support, firewall protection, hardware redundancy, security, payment options, value for money and differentiation.

"We're delighted to be shortlisted for the ISPA Awards again this year," said Patrick McCarthy, managing director at VI.NET. "It is an established and respected event, with awards that are well sought after in the Internet industry, especially due to the thorough judging criteria."

VI.NET (short for Virtual Internet) specializes in offering high availability managed Web infrastructure services. Cloud and managed services feature tailored SLAs and the MSP provides a reliable platform for hosting websites and applications. Services include cloud servers, private and hybrid clouds and a dynamic and flexible environment for hosting IT assets.

"Congratulations to all those shortlisted for the 15th ISPAs," said Nick Lansman, secretary general of ISPA. "The ISPA Awards are now 15 years old and it's still great to be able to celebrate successful British businesses. To be nominated is a big achievement, with rigorous technical testing and written entry forms analyzed by expert judges or votes from customers. I look forward to the ceremony and best of luck to all entrants."
