Data center provider Bluelock has launched its new 4-Series Virtual Datacenter Recovery-as-a-Service (RaaS) solutions. The new offerings let organizations recover critical IT resources efficiently and effectively under adverse conditions.
Bluelock is a certified VMware vCloud provider, offering virtual data centers that are hosted in the cloud. The service provider now offers two types of RaaS solutions with the addition of the new series. The "In-Cloud" solution is geared toward current Bluelock cloud customers while the "To-Cloud" offering is for those who wish to recover workloads that are hosted in their own facilities.
Both RaaS offerings are completely compatible with VMware, easily tested and don't require any re-working of applications. The VDC 4000 To-Cloud solution gives businesses that are running VMware-virtualized environments an opportunity to recover data to a proven, enterprise-grade Bluelock Virtual Datacenter. The RaaS offering is designed for ease of management, testing and verification and offers effective replication and recovery for production applications.
The VDC 4500 In-Cloud RaaS solution is geared toward customers with critical workloads who require geographically-separated recovery environments. An integrated set of technologies and services enables a testable and verified disaster recovery implementation with effective replication of production applications to a second Bluelock datacenter.
Benefits of Bluelock RaaS include being able to accurately predict and manage monthly expenses as well as access to replication service costs in the Bluelock Portfolio. RaaS offerings are fully compatible with VMware vSphere and vCloud and are based on Zerto Virtual Replication.
"Achieving and optimizing the appropriate balance between IT disaster recovery capabilities, affordability and risk mitigation is central to Bluelock's RaaS solutions," said Pat O'Day, chief technology officer of Bluelock. "Bluelock's 4-Series Virtual Datacenters provide an affordable and effective product for both Bluelock customers and companies who want to recover into Bluelock's proven enterprise-grade cloud environment at a compelling price point."
"As a global provider, we know disasters can happen anytime, anywhere," said Bryan Bond, senior systems engineer at eMeter, a Siemens Business. "We're confident in our selection of Bluelock for our cloud-based Recover-as-a-Service solution. We now have confidence that our mission critical applications can be back up and running quickly in the case of a disaster. And, because testing is easy and accessible, I know exactly what to expect when I need to declare."
