Orange Business Services Named a Leader in Managed Global MPLS Services

Forrester has named Orange Business Services as a leader in managed global MPLS services. The company was selected and evaluated among 11 global network operators offering networking solutions to multinational companies.

Orange was named in “The Forrester Wave: Managed Global MPLS Services, Q1 2013” report. The company was designated a leader in six of the 14 main evaluation criteria, with 55 total criteria being examined. Forrester evaluated the Business VPN and International Ethernet Link network solutions from Orange specifically.

Business VPN is at the heart of the Orange managed network services portfolio, and is available in 192 countries. It is flexible and scalable to meet customers' fluctuating business requirements on the company's massive MPLS VPN. The International Ethernet Link enables enterprises to directly interconnect LANs for principal sites and data centers throughout the world. It includes guaranteed bandwidth on optical fiber that ranges from 2 Mbps to 1 Gbps and beyond.

The International Ethernet Link also provides four classes of service to prioritize different types of traffic. It is available in 79 cities in 40 countries, and seven cities in developing markets were added in 2012. Orange serves a total of 220 countries and territories and provides local support in 166. The company's managed communication services include cloud computing, enterprise mobility, M2M, security, videoconferencing, broadband and unified communications.

The Forrester report describes Orange as having "the leading current offering for managed global MPLS services overall." The company also "boasts the leading managed global MPLS service offering" of the 11 providers included in the evaluation. Additionally, Orange is described as having a robust strategy for managed global MPLS services as well as a very strong market presence in the space.
