U.K. MSP The Bunker Selects Egenera Cloud Suite to Manage Cloud Service

By Laura Stotler

U.K. managed service provider (MSP) The Bunker has chosen the Egenera Cloud Suite as its management platform for the provider's new secure cloud service. The Cloud Suite will enable The Bunker to meet its clients’ needs for highly secure, scalable and cost-effective enterprise-class services.

The Bunker expects to achieve 75 percent cost savings over competitive offerings by adopting Egenera's Cloud Suite. It also offers functionality, security and scalability in support of the MSP's own growth strategy, while speeding up time-to-value for The Bunker's customer.

The Cloud Suite offers a single intuitive interface that enables consumption of physical and virtual resources. Additional benefits include elasticity to add capacity as The Bunker grows its customer base, and scalable provisioning for infrastructure as well as cloud services. The platform also offers high security and support for a multi-tenant environment, and is an open solution that is agnostic at the operating system, hypervisor and hardware layers.

“We see the cloud as a significant source of our growth, so one of the main requirements for a cloud management solution was the ability to support our DNA of providing ultra secure IT services and the ability to expand quickly, easily and with little disruption,” said Phil Bindley, CTO at The Bunker. “We recognized the robustness of the infrastructure orchestration that the Egenera Cloud Suite provides. In addition, the Egenera platform allows us to scale-out and deploy capacity literally in a matter of minutes; delivering a quality user experience that is critical to our customers.”

“We are delighted to be partnering with Egenera to help The Bunker launch its new cloud service," added Dean Chapman, managing director at Fedr8. "The Egenera Cloud Suite provides them with a very cost-effective, secure, multi-tenant enterprise cloud management platform. These capabilities are critical for The Bunker, whose services are known for the highest level of security and reliability.”
