CyrusOne to Hold Open House to Celebrate One Million-Square-Foot Data Center in Phoenix

By Laura Stotler

In celebration of the first phase of its one million-square-foot data center in Phoenix, AZ, service provider CyrusOne is holding an open house event. The company has invited leaders and IT specialists from Fortune 1000 enterprises to tour more than 36,000-square-feet of commissioned space at the energy-efficient data center location.

The event will be held on May 9 and will be focused on CyrusOne's facility design and technologies, encompassed in an oasis-type getaway environment. The master-planned campus is located on 56 acres and will offer data center space as well as Class A office space.

The entire campus was designed using the CyrusOne Massively Modular engineering methods, which facilitate quick deployment of customer data center requirements. These include single-purpose built dedicated facilities and shared infrastructure solutions that enable customers to scale their environments to meet fluctuating IT demands.

The company specializes in reliable enterprise data center colocation and designs facilities offering high-power redundancy as well as a power-dense infrastructure to deliver high availability. CyrusOne launched a statewide Internet Exchange in Texas earlier this year, connecting major sites in Austin, Dallas, Houston and San Antonio. This lets customers connect their own enterprise-owned facilities to third-party facilities and engage in a full ecosystem of partners, providers, carriers and Ethernet buyers and sellers.

"The CyrusOne Phoenix data center is designed to deliver industry-leading energy optimization and just-in-time inventory for customers in the Western U.S.," said Gary Wojtaszek, president and CEO of CyrusOne. "The location in Chandler, just outside of Phoenix, represents a data center oasis for our clientele needing to secure company data away from potential earthquakes and other natural disasters."
