STORServer and Front-safe Partner on Secure Cloud Backup and Recovery Solution for MSPs

STORServer and Front-safe have partnered to deliver secure cloud backup and recovery services to managed service providers (MSPs) via public, private and hybrid clouds. The combined offering is made up of STORServer's new MSP Backup Appliance and Front-safe's portal software, which manages and charges incoming customers.

The joint solution is installed at the data center of certified MSP partners, and offers everything they need to provide their customers with data protection as a service. End users purchase the service through STORServer resellers, and the company then connects the orders to a certified MSP to provide first-level support to the customer.

STORServer also offers support of Front-safe, IBM Tivoli Storage Manager (TSM), the STORServer Console and any other necessary hardware the MSP is using. The company's solution is built on IBM's TSM, and includes a complete suite of enterprise backup appliances, software and servers geared toward addressing backup, archive and disaster recovery challenges.

Danish company Front-safe offers public cloud backup services to a variety of businesses. Its Front-safe TSM Portal lets MSPs offer their own IBM TSM infrastructure as a cloud service either directly to end customers and/or through OEM branded resellers. The Portal also enables large enterprises to deliver their TSM infrastructure to remote locations through a private cloud.
