MSP Autotask Reaps UK, Europe Rewards

By Doug Barney

MSP Autotask Corp. has been awfully active of late, nabbing key partners and racking up healthy revenue gains based largely on growth of its UK and European operations.

Autotask, which sells IT business management software on a hosted basis, only entered the European market in September of 2011 when it opened an office in England.

Since then, its rate of acquiring clients has tripled. Now over half of all new sales are from beyond the North American borders, mostly in Europe and the UK.

“We made a serious commitment to serving the needs of our clients in England and throughout Europe, and invested in the best people and resources to help ensure their success,” said Mark Cattini, president and CEO of Autotask. “Having the right resources on the ground and available to clients locally has made all the difference, and we have grown significantly as a result.”

The 11-year-old company sells hosted IT business management software to service providers such as MSPs, VARs and ISVs. Autotask Pro, for instance, is sold using the software-as-a-service (SaaS) model and “integrates a broad range of critical business systems including customer relationship management (CRM), service desk, technician scheduling, project management, billing and reporting, and provides real-time service intelligence to help business owners understand the factors that affect their operations and their profitability,” the company said.

The MSP is now gearing up for more European action. It has more than 50 workers in England, and has expanded that office three times in the last year and a half. The company also established an office in Munich to handle part of Europe.

“The performance of our European operations has exceeded our expectations so far,” said Cattini. “We have seen a tremendous return on our investments in people, product localization and infrastructure that indicates a strong, continuing demand for the solutions our clients provide, and for the tools they need to deliver and manage them more effectively.”

Partner Roll

Autotask has kept MSP Today busy lately, covering all of its partnership news. For instance, it just struck a deal with independenceIT (iIT), which sells application and service provisioning tools.

Autotask also has an integration deal with Anchor where Autotask supplies service automation, and Anchor adds sharing, sync and collaboration tool.
