A new solution for the management and recovery of Microsoft Exchange Servers designed as a value-added offering for managed service providers (MSPs) has been unveiled by StorageCraft Technology Corporation. StorageCraft ShadowProtect Granular Recovery for Exchange 7 is also geared toward VARs and is a new addition to the company's StorageCraft Recover-Ability solution.
The new offering enables simple recovery of mailboxes, messages and e-mail attachments from an Exchange backup to a production Exchange server or to personal storage table (.PST) files. It may be used in conjunction with ShadowProtect Server, ShadowProtect Small Business Server or ShadowProtect Virtual to recover Exchange server data after a disaster or unexpected loss.
Additional benefits include the recovery of mailboxes or e-mails due to employee transitions or human error. Users may also search mailboxes, e-mail messages or entire Exchange databases for specific keywords, and individual e-mail messages and attachments may be restored quickly. When used with ShadowProtect servers, complete Exchange backup, e-mail retrieval and system recovery is enabled.
