iWeb Appoints Web-Hosting Industry Veteran McCleave as New VP of Services

By Kasey Schefflin-Emrich

Elya McCleave, a Web-hosting industry veteran with 12 years of experience, has been named the new Vice President of Services at Canada-based on-demand server and cloud infrastructure provider iWeb.

McCleave will be responsible for leading the company's customer service, technical support and client satisfaction team in developing an atmosphere and mindset that is devoted to meeting its customer's needs.

"My mission is to build an even more customer-centric culture and empower employees," McCleave said in a statement. "I'm looking forward to motivating, challenging, and helping people fulfill their potential. Surveys suggest that reliability is what customers value the most, but really, reliable service is a crucial element of the bigger picture. iWeb's client-base has become very diverse, and customers need a reliable, flexible and responsive IaaS provider; a partner to fill an increasingly important space in their operations."

iWeb chose McCleave for the new position due to her past experience developing customer support and managed services strategies in Canada and the United States.

"Our customers are at the heart of everything we do at iWeb," Christian Primeau, president and chief operating officer of iWeb, said in a statement. "As our services, technological environment, capabilities and capacity grow, so too do the needs and expectations of our customers. Elya's track record of creating customer-centric environments has made her a customer service guru in this industry. Elya has worked all over the world, she shares our values and we are delighted to have her on board!"

In related company news, iWeb recently launched a new Cloud Server service that will be easier for customers to manage. The service, powered by the company's Smart Layer Technology, will enable customers on-demand access to Cloud platforms and servers that are easy to use and can be quickly deployed. Moreover, for a limited time, the service will allow for unmetered traffic and no data transfer charges within the iWeb network and out to the Internet.
