LabTech Props MSP Partner Program with Hand-Picked Experts

By Doug Barney

On the heels of LabTech Software’s new partner channel, the Partner Innovation Network (PIN), the company this week announced what it calls “The LabTech Actuators,” a team of experts in multiple disciplines aimed at direct support for MSP partners.

PIN already involves partners in product development strategy, offers high-level troubleshooting, and in general provides a closer relationship with the remote monitoring and management provider (RMM).

Actuators adds a personal touch to all this by having experts share with partners best practices, new ideas and specially crafted tools to help MSPs do a better job maximizing LabTech wares.

"Our mission is to help IT service providers worldwide grow their businesses by providing them with the knowledge and resources needed to drive automation and IT service excellence. As the IT services industry changes, this team will help our partners change along with it, and strategically move their businesses forward," said Matt Nachtrab, LabTech Software CEO.

There are four founding members of LabTech Actuators – an evangelist, an advanced technologies expert, a technical product manager and a best practices analyst.

All together they have expertise in service delivery patch management, scripting, and help and service desk.

The new group isn’t just talk, but has three tools already in its quiver, one aimed at IT service excellence, another at IT automation, and the last at best practices for patch management.

RMM offered as a managed service is a crowded space with dozens of players, many of whom began as on-premises providers, then moved to raw cloud services then upped the ante by turning cloud services into managed offerings.

Partners Aplenty

LabTech is also in the business of forging partners, the most recent of which is with ConnectWise to combine LabTech’s RMM service with ConnectWise service management. More recently, the two added Quosal to the mix, which brings sales quotes and proposals to the partnership.
