MSP DoubleHorn Communications Announces IPOne Cloud Suite for SMBs

By Laura Stotler

DoubleHorn Communications, a managed service provider (MSP) offering business communications, hosted IT and cloud services, has announced its new IPOne Cloud suite. The new services provide secure, enterprise-class cloud computing resources geared toward small and medium-sized businesses.

Features of the IPOne Cloud suite include file and application servers, a document collaboration and version control platform and data storage. All components are accessible through the secure and high-performance DoubleHorn Core Network.

The new offering is designed to mimic computing environments found in larger enterprises with greater resources, but without the capital expense needed for on-premises equipment and IT management staff.

DoubleHorn has partnered with Rackspace, Amazon Web Services and IBM to deliver the new solution suite.

Components include the IPOne Server, which offers elastic capacity from the cloud through on-demand, secure servers. This format provides scalability for streamlining operations in real time, and servers are preconfigured with the ability to add data and applications as well as control access. The IPOne Documents platform offers a collaboration environment through which users may manage and share content.

Virtual teams may collaborate on projects from anywhere through access and version control features.

Additional benefits of the new offering include IPOne Storage, which ensures business continuity and redundancy through secure file storage and backup. The need to purchase and manage storage infrastructure is eliminated since scaling up or down through the cloud is enabled. And the IPOne Fax feature enables desktop faxing using high-speed connectivity to send and receive faxes.

Existing fax, scan and copy devices may also be linked.

In addition to the new offering, DoubleHorn also offers hosted VoIP/PBX services, SIP trunking and peering, managed broadband and network servers, cloud-based B2B applications, cloud services, XaaS and XoIP offerings.
