Windstream Hosted Solutions Opens New Data Center in McLean, VA Offering Cloud-Based Managed Services

By Laura Stotler

Enterprise-class managed hosting solutions provider, Windstream Hosted Solutions, has announced the grand opening of its new data center in McLean, VA. The company held a special celebration onsite at the opening of the 65,000-square-foot facility for customers, prospects and company executives and employees.

The new data center was opened to meet growing demands for cloud-based and dedicated managed services. The managed service provider (MSP) designed the facility with 45,000 square feet of raised floor space, and the operation is capable of meeting stringent, 24/7 availability and reliability requirements.

Windstream constructed the new facility with 2N power distribution and parallel multi-module uninterruptable power supplies (UPS). This ensures customers have anytime access to their servers, applications and data.

Businesses may choose colocation, dedicated server, managed services, disaster recovery and cloud computing solutions.

All Windstream data centers offer high levels of security, reliability, scalability, safety and redundancy. The company's robust cloud computing offerings are geared toward improving organizations' efficiencies as well as availability of IT resources and applications. This enables customers to rapidly deploy capacity without major capital investments, so they may reshape and scale their computing environments to meet demand.

"We are supremely proud of the state-of-the-art data centers we have opened and are building across the country," said Chris Nicolini, senior vice president of data center operations at Windstream. "The McLean celebration was an opportunity for us to showcase the facility to customers and prospective customers, demonstrating Windstream's ongoing commitment to supporting their cloud computing and managed hosting solutions needs."
