MSP XIOLINK Introduces IPv6 Service as Part of Suite of Business IT Solutions

By Laura Stotler

Managed service provider (MSP) and colocation provider XIOLINK, LLC has introduced an Internet Protocol Version 6 (IPv6) service to help customers position themselves for future growth. The company, based in St. Louis, is aiming to help customers stay competitive by keeping up on IPv6.

The IPv6 protocol is the latest version of IP for routing traffic across the Internet. The current IPv4 protocol is only capable of supporting about 4.3 billion devices connected to the Internet. Each computer, mobile phone and tablet accessing the Internet must be assigned an IP address to effectively communicate, and increasing number of connected devices means IPv4 will quickly run out of addresses.

The IPv6 protocol was developed as the successor to IPv4, and to address the burgeoning number of connected devices. The new IPv6 service from XIOLINK complements the MSP's existing suite of business IT solutions, which includes managed services, colocation and private cloud computing services. The company also recently expanded its data center capacity and increased its number of employees to meet anticipated demand this year.

"As a company, we are dedicated to providing our clients with leading-edge technology service and support to enable them to focus their time and attention on critical business functions," said Brad Pittenger, co-founder and chief executive officer at XIOLINK. "Our new IPv6 service is just the latest example of how we help our clients stay on top of industry standards. We take pride in the fact we're the first service provider in St. Louis to offer IPv6."

"Throughout our history, we've been committed to innovation and reliability," added Pittenger. "99.999 percent, the normal SLA for uptime, is not enough for us. We offer a guarantee of 100 percent uptime demonstrating our mutual vested interest in keeping our client's data available."

XIOLINK was also one of the first members of the Microsoft Service Provider Program and has been in business nearly 15 years. The MSP is also one of the original 25 members of the VMware service provider program, which now has more than 10,000 service providers.
