MSP Elevate Services Appoints New VP of Procurement Services

By Laura Stotler

Managed services provider (MSP) and technology and consulting solutions company, Elevate Services Inc., has announced a new appointment. Tariq A. Hassan has been brought on as vice president of procurement services for the company.

Hassan, formerly of Integreon, will be based in Boston and London, and will be working with law firms in both the U.S. and the U.K. He was chief procurement officer as well as head of procurement at Integreon.

The new vice president has 25 years of experience in improving supplier management and building third-party relationships in the legal and financial services industries. Hassan will be designing, delivering and managing procurement services for law firm clients at Elevate in his new role.

He has a track record of reducing several previous clients' procurement costs by more than 50 percent, and also providing sourcing savings of more than 25 percent.

Elevate specializes in the area of providing law firms and corporate legal departments with ways to improve efficiency, quality and outcomes. The MSP achieves this via managed services, technology and consulting solutions.

“By bringing Tariq to the Elevate team, we continue to expand the ways Elevate can dramatically help our law firm clients,” said Liam Brown, founder and chairman of Elevate. “As a leading practitioner of procurement strategy, Tariq’s specialty is a non-invasive approach that helps law firms generate significant cost savings quickly without organizational disruption. His track record in this area is very impressive. For example, he recently helped one firm save 25 percent of a five-year $60 million overhead spend.”

“Elevate’s goal with procurement services is to help law firms answer a very fundamental question: ‘Are we paying the right price for the goods and services that we buy from our vendors?’," said Hassan. "We help answer that question using a fast-track approach that starts delivering savings within a few months, as opposed to traditional sourcing strategies that typically take a year or more.”
