New Cloud Event Announced at 2013 Denver Biz Tech Expo

By Laura Stotler

A new cloud event has been announced by Colorado Technology Partners (CTP) and the Denver Metro Chamber of Commerce. The "Navigating the Cloud" event will be held at the 2013 Denver Biz Tech Expo on October 24, and will feature top technology and cloud providers from throughout the world.

The Denver Biz Tech Expo is aimed at business owners, executives and IT professionals, and features 80 exhibitors displaying hardware, software and services from a variety of technology areas. The new cloud event is meant to help local companies operate more successfully in a competitive marketplace, and will showcase the latest cloud solutions for business and technology.

Managed services provider (MSP) Latisys, which also operates a Denver-based national data center, will be returning to the event as a presenting sponsor. The company offers an end-to-end suite of IT outsourcing solutions that include data center colocation and managed hosting.

The MSP also offers managed services and cloud solutions that are designed to extend and enhance customers' IT infrastructure.

Technology giant Dell will also be returning to the event as a title sponsor. The Expo is presented by Colorado Technologies Partners in conjunction with the chamber of commerce. CTP is a strategic partnership of service providers based in the Denver and Boulder areas. The group acts as a one-stop shop and brings together technology experts who aim to help organizations manage and grow their businesses through hardware, software and services.

“Our goal is to provide Colorado business with the ability to get in front of ‘what’s next’ in the technology industry,” said David DeCamillis, president of Colorado Technology Partners. “The Denver Biz Tech Expo will help companies navigate the cloud and find technology solutions that will help them succeed.”

“We here at Latisys were amazed at the positive response from our inaugural Denver Biz Tech Expo in 2012,” added Bryan Walsh, regional sales director at Latisys. “We are continuing our investment by once again bringing Colorado’s best technology companies and their leaders together for this event.”

“This Expo creates synergy among tech businesses while providing a forum for all of us to learn how technology can help advance our business,” said Kelly Brough, president and CEO for the Denver Metro Chamber of Commerce. “Colorado is a technology hub: It ranks second in the country for high-tech business concentration. Look out, Silicon Valley, here we come.”
