ConnectWise Platform Used by 53 Percent of Top Global MSPs

By Laura Stotler

The ConnectWise business operating system is being used by 53 percent of the top-ranked global managed service providers (MSPs). The company, which offers service management software for MSPs, ITSPs, VARs and ISVs, made the announcement in reference the new MSPmentor 501 Global Edition industry report.

ConnectWise also announced that nearly half the companies on the MSPmentor 100 list are using their solutions as their professional services automation platform. The new MSPmentor 501 report offers a list of the world's top 501 MSPs and is based on data from a global online survey conducted from October through December of 2012.

The MSPmentor 501 report uses a range of metrics to identify the top global MSPs, including annual managed services revenue growth, managed services offered, customer devices managed and revenue per employee. Those companies on this year's list reported combined annual recurring revenue of $2.54 billion. Companies on the list manage more than 5.6 million PCs and servers as well as nearly 400,000 smartphones.

"More than half of the world's top MSPs recognize that running their businesses requires the industry's top PSA platform," said Jeannine Edwards, director, ConnectWise Community. "They've chosen ConnectWise, the best business operating system in the industry, for service excellence, business strategy, and operational efficiency."

"ConnectWise partners around the world are forward-thinking businesses leading their industry and increasing their profitability," she added. "We congratulate them for their impressive rankings and success."

The company offers the MSP Connector for ConnectWise solution to help MSPs easily offer services and ensure the profitability of SLAs. The solution centralizes, manages and reports on key metrics from a variety of managed services tools.

It also offers open APIs for easily sharing data for a variety of applications, including remote monitoring and management (RMM); backup and disaster recovery (BDR); NOC/help desk ticket integration; and network security, spam filtering and virus protection. By offering seamless integration from MSP tools to ConnectWise, service providers can easily view service ticketing, resource scheduling, service delivery, invoicing and reporting.
