If you’ve been reading any of our reports on MSP Today, you likely noticed a big trend: companies with different but complimentary businesses are more and more joining forces to broaden their offerings. In the world of managed services, even if you could build everything yourself, it would be expensive and time consuming, leading to missed market opportunities.
Partners allow companies to exploit those opportunities while they still exist.
IT consulting firm Bridgeport Technologies offers a broad range of IT services. By hooking up with XCLUTEL Communications, it can also now offer managed telecom.
Under the new partnership, XCUTEL customers can now gain access to IT solutions and managed services provided by Bridgeport. The reverse is also true: Bridgeport customers can now more easily acquire XCLUTEL business phone systems, as well as integrated data access and voice offerings.
"BridgePoint's IT solutions complement XCLUTEL's portfolio of voice and data solutions. Our managed services overlaid on XCLUTEL's integrated business communication systems improve service delivery and performance," said Michael Millhouse, president and CEO at BridgePoint Technologies. "This marks another extension of our existing strategic partner relationships, further fortifying our ability to deliver customers comprehensive solutions and support with best-in-class products and services from companies who are experts in their respective fields. It is a win-win for both organizations as well as customer bases."
XCULTEL also explained the value it sees in the partnership; "BridgePoint's IT business solutions and managed service capabilities enable XCLUTEL to expand its services while fortifying clients' mission-critical processes by providing 24/7 monitoring, maintenance and the service assurance they expect," said Scott Sinclair, CEO at XCLUTEL Communications.
The BridgePoint MSP Line
BridgePoint already offers three styles of MSP services: managed hosting, help desk, and a virtual office bundle.
The Virtual Office includes hosted help desk, outsourced IT including hosted servers, managed backup, and the management of software licenses.
The Virtual Office service includes hosted desktops that come with Exchange e-mail and outlook clients, Microsoft Office, and more than 500GB of shared disk space.
With the hosted office, older terminals can be used to run desktop software, new employees are set up easily, and the data is protected by the service provider rather than internal IT.
