Cloud Hosting Provider OneNeck IT Services Achieves Microsoft Gold Competencies

By Laura Stotler

Application management and cloud hosting provider OneNeck IT Services has achieved two key Microsoft Gold competencies. The company was awarded for its Hosting and Identity and Access, proving that OneNeck meets Microsoft's "best-in-class" abilities and demonstrates a commitment to meet customers' evolving business needs.

The Microsoft competencies are awarded within the top one percent of the company's partner ecosystem. As part of the award, OneNeck had to successfully complete exams for Microsoft Certified Professionals to prove their level of technology expertise. The certified professionals were then uniquely designated to one Microsoft competency to ensure a certain level of staffing capacity.

As part of the Microsoft Gold competency, OneNeck also submitted customer references to demonstrate successful projects, as well as implementing an annual customer satisfaction study. They were also required to meet a revenue commitment as well as pass technology and or sales assessments.

OneNeck offers application management and cloud hosting solutions designed to deliver maximum value to customers. The hosting provider offers server management, database management, operating system management, a 24/7 support center and disaster recovery solutions.

The Hosting competency designation is geared toward partners that specialize in hosting solutions and either maintains their own data centers or acts as a reseller or agency of Microsoft hosted services. Partners must provide agreed-upon service levels and customized hosted offerings and must be equipped with training, software and support. Gold partners seek to help their customers offset the cost of maintaining critical business applications through scalable hosting solutions.

The Identity and Access competency is awarded to demonstrate partner expertise for building and deploying integrated, simplified and comprehensive security solutions. Solutions are geared toward helping customers access and protect corporate information across both the data center and the cloud. Partners are equipped with exclusive training on technologies like Windows Server 2012, Windows Azure, Office 365 and Microsoft Forefront Identity Manager.

“Earning these Microsoft Gold competencies for Hosting and for Identity and Access showcase our expertise and commitment to today’s technology market,” said Chuck Vermillion, CEO of OneNeck. “It also demonstrates our deep knowledge of Microsoft and its products. With this knowledge, we plan to accelerate our customers’ success by continuing to be technology advisors for their business demands.”

“By achieving a Gold competency, partners have demonstrated the highest, most consistent capability and commitment to the latest Microsoft technology,” said Jon Roskill, corporate vice president, Worldwide Partner Group at Microsoft Corp. “These partners have a deep expertise that puts them in the top one percent of our partner ecosystem, and their proficiency will help customers drive innovative solutions on the latest Microsoft technology.”
