CentriLogic, a provider of hybrid hosting and data center solutions, has acquired managed service provider (MSP), The Capris Group. The Canadian MSP offers managed hosting and IT services.
The Capris Group's business will integrate with CentriLogic's global data center solutions, creating a new business unit focused on delivering application and platform management services to new and prospective customers.
CentriLogic also plans to add additional data center and disaster recovery space to its existing infrastructure footprint in the Greater Toronto area.
The acquisition is a strategic move for CentriLogic, as the company will now be able to provide innovative cross-border hybrid hosting services. Additional managed offerings will include business continuity and disaster recovery services, and DevOps solutions geared toward local and international organizations dealing with enterprise-class workloads.
The Capris Group's entire portfolio of services will be integrated into CentriLogic's offerings. This includes application and platform management, managed hosting, development and colocation services.
CentriLogic is also integrating the MSP's staff, existing office and data center facilities and current customer contracts into its own operations and business.
CentriLogic plans to maintain The Capris Group's 15,000-square-foot data center and disaster recovery area in Mississauga, Ontario as well. The space will be used to serve the MSP's existing customer base in addition to accommodated new and existing CentriLogic customers.
"The Capris Group's team has 17 years of experience delivering comprehensive services to its entire client base, including several of Canada's major financial institutions that have stringent uptime and service delivery requirements," said Robert Offley, president and CEO at CentriLogic. "We will leverage The Capris Group's existing expertise to better fulfill our customer's complex hosting and application management requirements, ultimately creating synergies throughout our core service offerings to facilitate the growth of our business locally and internationally."
"CentriLogic has quickly established itself as a flexible and reliable provider of international data center solutions, with a very strong presence in the Greater Toronto Area and an excellent track record of delivering outstanding services to organizations with enterprise-class requirements," said Boris Novosel, president of The Capris Group. "We have been actively seeking opportunities to take our company to the next level, and after a thorough evaluation of numerous candidates we determined that CentriLogic was the ideal partner to help us achieve this goal."
