TriCore Solutions Offering Managed Security Services through New Partnership with Alert Logic

By Laura Stotler

Application management company, TriCore Solutions has integrated cloud-based security solutions from Alert Logic's portfolio. The company has folded a variety of cloud solutions into its current suite of managed applications services through the new partnership.

TriCore is offering vulnerability assessment, intrusion detection, log management and Web application security solutions from Alert Logic through the new deal. The company's enterprise customers will benefit from managed security services including continual assessment and monitoring of applications environments to ensure data is safe and audit-ready, even as new regulations evolve and new threats develop.

Intrusion detection services include an IDS monitor of networks that detects both intrusions and intrusion attempts in order to identify potential threats to corporate data. Vulnerability assessment services are provided through a 24x7 security operations center and third-party intelligence sources that work together via a cloud-based platform. This provides a complete view of potential risks as well as recommendations for compensating controls in order to minimize risks.

Additional services include log management, which supports performance management, security incident response and compliance requirements. Web application firewall services protect enterprises with valuable and sensitive data connected to their websites. These types of companies, which often house customer, partner and employee data as well as proprietary business information, may be at risk from Web application attacks, which can lead to system compromise or data breach.

"Security and compliance are cornerstones of any managed application service," said Gina Murphy, executive ice president at TriCore Solutions. "We are excited to partner with Alert Logic because of their extensive experience in delivering innovative intrusion detection, vulnerability management and log management solutions. It allows us to expand the portfolio of services that we currently offer our customers -- helping them to address the security and compliance challenges that they face."

"With more applications and enterprises moving to the cloud, the need for comprehensive solutions is increasingly evident," said Greg Davis, senior vice president at Alert Logic. "TriCore's emphasis on managing complex enterprise applications makes the partnership with Alert Logic a natural fit, allowing them to continue delivering world-class application management services while ensuring customer security and compliance."
