Wipro and Infoblox Announce Reseller Agreement for Managed Corporate IT Networks

By Laura Stotler

A new managed reseller agreement that will help automate corporate IT networks and meet the increasing demands of bring-your-own-device (BYOD) and mobile connectivity has been announced. Automated network control company Infoblox Inc. and Wipro Infotech, IT are teaming up via a global reseller arrangement designed to give organizations greater control over their corporate IT networks through a managed solution.

Wipro, an IT business unit of Wipro Ltd., will offer global customers Infoblox solutions designed to meet a variety of networking needs through the new partnership. Infoblox solutions are used for discovery, real-time configuration and change management and compliance for the control plane. This addresses the middle networking infrastructure layer, including switches and routers, applications and endpoints like IP phones and virtual machines.

The new reseller partnership is based on increased demands on networks due to the growing popularity of the BYOD trend and the prevalence of mobile devices. Increasing complexities brought by virtualization, private clouds and the transition to IPv6 have also created management hurdles and risk for in-house IT teams.

The reseller arrangement will have Wipro delivering Infoblox technology as a managed solution to automate a variety of network control functions. These include DNS, DHCP and IPAM, with the end goal of reducing complexity and cost as well as increasing security and maximizing uptime. IT teams will be able to more effectively control their networks without the need to add manual processes or increased network bandwidth. The ultimate goal is to free up internal resources for customers so they may focus on strategic projects and create greater business value.

"IT leaders are looking for technology solutions that help them grow their businesses, reduce costs and achieve the balance needed to influence business strategy while also providing top-notch IT support," said Anuj Bhalla, VP & BU head, system integration and maintenance services, global infrastructure services, Wipro Limited. "As IT is becoming closely aligned to business, the need to reduce growing complexity in networks is becoming critical. Wipro and Infoblox are offering the right mix of technologies for telecom service providers, Internet service providers, and any other large enterprise having similar requirements."

"Global organizations are struggling to manage the complexity, risks and costs associated with the exponential growth of today’s corporate networks" added David Gee, chief marketing officer, Infoblox. "The agreement with Wipro will extend the benefits of greater network control with Infoblox technology to more businesses globally."
