MSP Data Foundry Chosen by Mobile Entertainment Services Provider Binbit for Colocation and Managed Services

By Laura Stotler

Mobile entertainment services provider Binbit has chosen Data Foundry's Texas 1 facility as its primary, U.S.-based colocation data center. The company is also leveraging managed services from Data Foundry to help manage Binbit's IT infrastructure on a 24x7x365 basis from their corporate headquarters in Mexico.

The expansion and new managed services have been implemented in tandem with Binbit undergoing strong growth fueled by new, long-term business partnerships with a variety of service providers. The company has a presence in more than 35 countries as well as agreements with 64 carriers, including a number of mobile leaders.

Binbit's customers and partners have more than 750 million users that can take advantage of the company's services, so a solid and secure technological back-end has been crucial for the company's growth and success.

“As we looked for a U.S. based colocation partner, we found that Data Foundry’s Texas 1 data center was an excellent strategic choice for us,” said Antoni Muntaner, chairman of Binbit. “We not only have access to a world-class data center, but by utilizing their Managed Internet solution we also have tremendous network access that allows us to reach every corner of the globe.”

In addition to being a managed services provider (MSP), Data Foundry also offers a variety of data center outsourcing, colocation and disaster recovery services. Managed services include blended bandwidth, managed firewall services, migration and installation, and "virtual hands" offerings that enable skilled technicians and electricians to act as remote data operators for customers.

Through its secure facilities, Data Foundry provides servers and equipment, emergency workspace and carrier-neutral network accessibility. The MSP supports more than 1,000 enterprise customers representing the healthcare, financial services and energy industries as well as a variety of other vertical markets.

“International customers chose Data Foundry to leverage our onsite expertise,” said Thomas Adams, director of managed services at Data Foundry. “By utilizing our suite of managed services we help them meet their uptime requirements without the expense of maintaining a local staff and office.”
