dinCloud Names Weber its CTO

By Kasey Schefflin-Emrich

Barry Weber, former president and CTO for T3 Dynamics, has recently been named chief technology officer for the cloud transformation company, dinCloud.

Weber will be responsible for managing all aspects of infrastructure engineering and future technology development for the company, in addition to developing scalable and reliable services that will make dinCloud stand out among its competition.

Weber brings 30 years of IT experience to the new role. In addition to his work with T3 Dynamics, he has served as vice president of information technology for the Barnes and Noble e-commerce division, chief information officer at Lieberman Research Worldwide, and director of U.S. strategic services for Mercury Interactive.

“We are very excited to have attracted someone of Barry’s caliber for CTO,” Kevin Schatzle, CEO of dinCloud, said in a statement. “Barry has the perfect combination of deep technology understanding and process driven operational experience necessary to implement and support our customers’ IT Infrastructure inside their virtual private data center.”

Weber looks forward to working with dinCloud to improve its customers experiences.

“The focus of dinCloud is clear – to provide a heavenly experience for its customers and partners," Weber said in a statement. "For me, this translates into driving dinCloud’s technology and service offerings to provide a full platform for customers at a price point that fits their budget. While there is a lot of technology available for those that want to leverage cloud, before dinCloud, I hadn’t seen a full service offering that satisfied the needs of this market at the right price. I am excited about the opportunity to take what is real and available today at dinCloud and to join the team in extending it far beyond what is available in other IaaS (Infrastructure as a Service) clouds."

In related news, dinCloud recently teamed up with hardware, software and service solution technology provider, Insight, to assist the company in expanding its cloud solutions center through the use of dinCloud's Cloud Business Provisioning. The service will provide Insight with hosted virtual desktops, applications and servers, as well as storage backup and disaster recovery – all of which will allow businesses to improve their productivity and security, and save money.
