Zethcon Teams with Latisys to Extend WMS Solution to the Cloud

By Laura Stotler

Infrastructure-as-a-Service (IaaS) provider Latisys has teamed up with Zethcon, a provider of supply chain execution software and services. The companies announced an infrastructure multi-year services agreement, through which Zethcon has established a footprint on the Latisys ultra high-density data center platform.

The deal secures scalable raised floor, redundant power and blended bandwidth for Zethcon through the Latisys Tier III, purpose-built data center in Oak Brook, IL.

Solutions from Latisys include managed hosting, cloud and hybrid infrastructure services, and data center colocation.

Managed service provider (MSP), Zethcon, will utilize the enhanced infrastructure to expand its offerings, which help logistics companies identify and capitalize on opportunities for ensured profitability and longevity. The company provides the Synapse warehouse management system (WMS) solution, designed to help businesses become more efficient and competitive.

Synapse has been installed at client locations in the past, which requires onsite IT expertise and support, as well as hardware lifecycle management costs. By working with Latisys, Zethcon can now deliver Synapse as a cloud solution through a virtualized infrastructure, simplifying deployment for customers and centralizing distribution.

"Having a responsive and collaborative IT infrastructure partner like Latisys is critical to our ability to maintain focus on the highest levels of customer service as we grow," said Chris Oechsel, CEO at Zethcon. "By deploying our highly resilient Synapse software product on Latisys' elite infrastructure services platform, we are poised to further expand Zethcon services to new and existing customers while significantly reducing the management burden on everyone involved. We look forward to adding hosted services such as email and financial packages that enable customers to do business more efficiently while we take care of administrative overhead."

"Zethcon is a great example of a growing Chicago business that is expanding its national reach – and now needs a national IaaS platform to ensure greater performance, scalability and resilience," said Pete Stevenson, CEO at Latisys. "Latisys is dedicated to serving Zethcon as an extension of its IT team, delivering highly flexible and scalable solutions as well as critical expertise to meet current and future growth requirements."
