By Laura Stotler

Managed service provider (MSP) Insight Enterprises, Inc. and dinCloud have come together to expand the InsightCloud Solutions Center with Cloud Business Provisioning. The new service from dinCloud adds hosted virtual desktops, storage backup, disaster recovery and hosted applications and servers to Insight's portfolio of managed cloud services.

The new services are designed to help Insight's customers stay connected on the go and can aid with enhanced productivity, reduced costs and protection of critical business assets. Insight has aggregated the cloud-based services into a single client portal, making it easy to manage subscriptions, features and requirements.

The dinCloud suite offers a variety of benefits to Insight's customers. These include support for mobility and bring your own device (BYOD) through virtual hosted desktops via the dinHVD solution. Faster deployment of applications along with ubiquitous access is provided through the dinServer hosted virtual server offering, while the dinManage solution offers the ability to control cloud infrastructure through a single online cloud orchestration platform.

Additional offerings include disaster recovery, backup and replication services. And Insight clients who own NetApp storage may deploy second site replication and data protection of on-premise storage economically via cloud replication and backup through dinCloud's dinBackup solution.

The new managed cloud services enhance Insight's large portfolio of offerings as a provider of hardware, software and services to clients throughout North America, Europe, Africa, the Middle East and Asia-Pacific. The provider specializes in office productivity solutions, unified communications and collaboration, mobility, data center and virtualization, data protection and cloud and network and security solutions.

"We have recognized that customers are looking for more comprehensive cloud solutions beyond just hosted virtual desktops or servers," said Bill McCarthy, senior vice president, Cloud Solutions at Insight. "With the addition of dinCloud's business provisioning to our InsightCloud Solutions Center, our customers can get a virtual private data center that helps them keep control and access of their computers, storage, networking, and security in their hands."

"dinCloud continues to receive industry recognition for its top rated hosted virtual desktops and a complete line-up of subscription-based IT infrastructure needs," said Kevin Schatzle, CEO of dinCloud. "With the addition of our Business Provisioning in the cloud to the InsightCloud Solutions Center, we believe that this offering will help Insight continue to lead in the cloud market space."
