Infrastructure-as-a-Service (IaaS) and cloud service provider, PeakColo, has expanded its VMware vCloud-powered platform through a partnership with NYI.
The managed service provider (MSP), which caters to channel partners, has expanded into the New York and New Jersey metro areas through the partnership with the New York City-based data center services provider.
The new relationship expands PeakColo's cloud footprint across several data centers within six geographies. The MSP's cloud may now be directly accessed from Chicago, Denver, London, New York, New Jersey and Seattle.
NYI has also added a cloud platform powered by PeakColo to its offerings as part of the partnership, enabling them to leverage numerous cloud services.
The VMware-based cloud platform from PeakColo offers on-demand provisioning of resources like computing, storage, network and bandwidth. This process enables a variety of benefits, including high performance and efficiency, and same-day scalability.
The MSP employs a 100-percent channel-centric model geared toward agents, value-added resellers (VAR) and system integrators. Customers may take advantage of a secure IaaS platform from PeakColo in addition to receiving full technical support, training and a competitive commission structure.
The company's data centers are Type II SSAE 16 and SOC 2 compliant, and PeakColo's cloud environment contains tens of thousands of virtual machines along with multiple petabytes of storage for public, private, hybrid and disaster recovery solutions.
The MSP is VMware vCloud Powered and is also a platinum-level NetApp service provider.
The new cloud platform will benefit NYI, which aims to create custom solutions that are easily scaled to meet its clients' requirements and growth. Services include colocation, dedicated services, business continuity offerings and managed services.
NYI serves a variety of vertical markets, including financial services, media, healthcare, law, fashion, real estate, architecture and life sciences.
"Driving value, flexibility and efficiencies within our customer solutions is important to NYI; we couldn't be more pleased to launch high quality, enterprise-class cloud services with PeakColo," said Phillip Koblence, VP operations, NYI. "PeakColo's cloud program is a perfect fit as it allows us to further customize our customer deployments and deliver the high-quality support they are accustomed to receiving from our service teams."
"NYI is a long-standing specialty data center provider, with a very high-touch, personalized approach to serving the greater New York/New Jersey metro areas," said Luke Norris, CEO and founder of PeakColo. "With the addition of NYI's two East Coast data centers to PeakColo's cloud footprint, our cloud architecture is strengthened, ultimately lowering our cloud's overall latency, and making PeakColo one of the fastest clouds in the marketplace.”
“With this expanded presence,” he said, “we can further deliver world-class services coast to coast and allow our channel partners to maximize their profitability with full cloud economies of scale."
