KineticD Announces New Mobile App for Secure BYOD and Cloud Administration

KineticD has extended its mobile access to cloud data with support for Android (News - Alert) smartphones and iOS devices. The company announced that its KineticCloud Backup Suite now includes support for those mobile devices, which remote workers may use to access corporate data files and applications securely.

The company has unveiled its new KineticMobile app offering as part of the KineticCloud suite. The solution enables users to access sensitive corporate data from any location on their mobile devices, and allows quick and easy file sharing as well as instant upload and download of critical business data.

The bring your own device (BYOD) trend has been gaining traction over the past year, as more and more workers demand remote access to important corporate files and data. As organizations struggle to increase worker productivity, while maintaining security and compliance requirements, they are seeking more flexible solutions that will meet everyone's needs.

KineticMobile enables easy and secure access to business information for remote workers, and offers benefits to IT managers and administrators as well. Admins may use the solution to remotely manage corporate cloud data should company computers become unavailable in the event of an outage or disaster. KineticD is primarily in the business of providing cloud backup and data recovery services to small and medium-sized businesses (SMBs), and the new mobility support is a logical expansion of these services.

The company's patented KineticCloud backup technology provides scalability, ease of use and advanced data reduction capabilities. Their technologies are used daily by more than 60,000 customers, 1,000 resellers, 100 managed service providers (MSPs) and private label partners. Solutions are used for online backup and recovery, secure file sharing, remote access, disaster readiness and archiving.

"The continued adoption of BYOD has both large organizations and SMBs looking for solutions that provide employees with an easy, secure way to access cloud data," said Jamie Brenzel, CEO of KineticD. "KineticMobile elevates BYOD devices to justified business productivity tools, putting the full power of the office computer into the hands of workers - wherever their business takes them."

The new KineticMobile app is available for no additional charge if companies activate an account with KineticD. It may be downloaded from iTunes as well as from Google (News - Alert) Play for Android.
