Supply chain consulting and IT services firm enVista has achieved 78 percent year over year growth for 2012, the company announced. IT managed services practices were a primary part of its huge growth milestone, with those services growing by double digits last year.
In addition to traditional IT infrastructure services like virtualization, security and server and storage offerings, enVista offers supply chain consulting, software and systems implementation, operations management, enterprise and IT consulting and a variety of managed supply chain enabling platforms. It is these niche managed offerings and the various technology alliances and partnerships that go along with them, that helped propel the company's growth in 2012.
enVista works with the Microsoft (News - Alert) Dynamics AX platform and also offers an e-commerce rating engine, a warehouse control system, freight audit payment and visibility services and a transportation management systems-as-a-service (TMSaaS). In tandem with its managed services growth, enVista experienced 20 percent growth in its associate base, with 38 associates hired in 2012. The company now employs 210 associates and plans to grow to 250 by the end of the year.
"We have built a sustainable model, yet we are cautious about 2013," said Jim Barnes, president and CEO of enVista. "We are planning for a 25 percent growth trajectory this year. We are confident we can reach $100 million growing organically by 2017; however, we will also make strategic acquisitions and entertain private equity investments in order to grow the company to $200 million within that time period."
The company's main plans for 2013 include expanding on its Vendor Management platform. The platform lets retailers mitigate vendor non-compliance as well as improve inventory control and customer service. enVista also plans to promote its e-commerce rating and rules engine, which enables retailers to calculate shipping charges versus charging by order value before check out.
Specific supply chain consulting services from enVista include 3PL evaluation and selection, carrier contract analysis and negotiation and facility design build. The MSP also provides strategic facility master planning, organizational training and development, sales and operation planning, LEAN Six Sigma, supply chain network design, transportation strategies and workforce management.
"Our vision of creating a firm that consults, implements and operates supply chains for retail, distribution and manufacturing centric companies is paying dividends for our clients," added Barnes. "Our growth is a direct result of our ability to help clients increase profitability and lower operating costs. Over 60 percent of our revenue comes from our existing clients and maintenance from our solutions."
