Innovium and Partners to Showcase Broad Range of PAM4-based 400G Switching Solutions Using Robust 12.8Tbps TERALYNX Switch Family at OFC 2019

Innovium, Inc., a leading provider of networking switch solutions for data centers, will be demonstrating an extensive set of switch systems based upon its award-winning production-ready TERALYNX™ silicon switch family at (OFC) Conference and Exhibition, to be held March 5-7, 2019 at the San Diego, CA (News - Alert) Convention Center. Demonstrations will include proven interoperability with a wide range of 100-400G optics, DAC, ACC, re-timer/gearbox, and test equipment solutions with key industry partners.

As IT migration to cloud-based architectures continues at a break-neck pace, network infrastructure architects are challenged to rapidly scale data centers in the most cost, space, and power-efficient manner. PAM4-based switching technology is being rapidly adopted to keep pace with exponential traffic growth. Innovium's TERALYNX switch family delivers the industry's most feature-rich 12.8Tbps product with programmability, innovative telemetry features, low latency and low-power. Innovium has worked closely with key partners across the industry to validate a range of switch platform, optics, and other I/O solutions to ensure interoperability and faster time to customer deployments for systems scaling from 2T to 12.8T bandwidth.

"The market is ready to ramp 400G deployments driven by demand from large-scale data center customers running bandwidth-hungry applications such as Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning. Innovium and its prtners have delivered an extensive and proven switching offering based upon the latest high-speed optics including QSFP-DD for 400G. These validated solutions will enable the industry to further accelerate the migration to 400G with the most efficient costs, power, and form-factors," said Alan Weckel, founding analyst at 650 Group.

Key highlights of the demonstrations at Innovium's private meeting room (#1631) will include:

  • 1RU 32xQSFP-DD 12.8Tbps Switch
Ultra-compact form factor with best-in-class power efficiency and throughput
  • 4RU 128xQSFP28 and 2RU 64xQSFP56 Fixed Switches
Low-latency, highest radix solutions for 100G and 200G
  • Comprehensive DAC, ACC and Optics Interoperability for 100G/200G/400G
Most robust 400G solution in the market - proven interoperability across key vendors

Innovium TERALYNX based switches are also being demonstrated at several OFC booths along with partner optics modules, DACs, ACCs and test equipment, including solutions from Cisco (News - Alert), Molex, Foxconn Interconnect Technology, Keysight, Credo, Intel, Spirent, and Innolight.
