A new global distribution agreement that brings together middleware infrastructure monitoring and management from Nastel Technologies with CA (News - Alert) Technologies solutions has been signed. The move strengthens the CA Technologies' cross platform by incorporating Auto Pilot for middleware management from managed service provider (MSP) Nastel.
CA will sell and distribute the AutoPilot for middleware from Nastel through the agreement , which covers IBM (News
- Alert) WebSphere MQ, Message Broker, DataPower and TIBCO. The middleware solution complements existing performance management solutions from CA by extending their management and monitoring capabilities deeper into the middleware infrastructure.
The Application Performance Management solution from CA offers application and transaction monitoring, while CA SYSVIEW Performance Management monitors mainframe performance. AutoPilot will add to the offering by incorporating monitoring and management of the middleware infrastructure, showing CA's efforts to meet customer requirements for high system availability. The agreement with Nastel also offers a solution to help reduce the time from issue detection to remediation.
Nastel's application performance monitoring solutions are geared toward mission-critical applications from the data center to the cloud. The company provides a unified platform that supports all software and appliance-based middleware technology requirements.
"Customers around the world are looking for an enterprise solution that manages their middleware infrastructure across mainframe, distributed and cloud platforms," said Dayton Semerjian, general manager, mainframe, CA Technologies (News - Alert). "Given the success of our cross-platform application performance management solution, this partnership makes great sense as it extends our already robust monitoring and management capabilities into one of the fastest growing adjacent segments."
"We're thrilled to work with CA Technologies to build added value for our joint customers, expand our routes to market and deliver a very comprehensive enterprise solution for the industry," said David Mavashev, Nastel CEO. "The agreement takes the depth and breadth of our award-winning AutoPilot product line to even more customers around the world."
CA recently updated its CA Infrastructure Management (CA IM) solution to include important performance data to help MSPs improve their service quality, efficiency and predictability. The solution integrates elements of the Service Assurance portfolio to quickly translate volumes of disparate information for users.
The enhanced offering provides actionable insight on performance data through unified, user-specific views designed to give MSPs and enterprises valuable information. Service providers may enjoy a differentiated and enhanced customer experience through specialized functionality, extensive analytics capabilities and massive scalability.
