Abiquo Selected by Gartner as one of the "Cool Vendors in Cloud Computing, 2011"

Abiquo (News - Alert), the leading Enterprise Cloud Management software company, announced that it has been selected by Gartner as one of the “Cool Vendors in Cloud Computing, 2011,” in its report that highlights a small handful of vendors with innovative approaches and technologies.

“We consider Abiquo’s inclusion in the Gartner (News - Alert) Cool Vendors report as further confirmation that our vision of cloud computing is resonating with customers and the top minds in cloud,” said Wendy Perilli, Abiquo vice president of global marketing, in a statement. “Abiquo was strategically designed to meet the needs of today’s enterprises.

Unique features like global infrastructure management, business policy-driven automation, and simultaneous support for multiple hypervisors enable enterprises to build and manage their cloud environments to suit their individual needs.”

The report, authored by Gartner Research Vice Presidents Milind Govekar, Cameron Haight and Donna Scott, says, “Abiquo's Enterprise Edition may appeal to users looking for hypervisor-agnostic, multitenant cloud infrastructure management with delegated administration to manage data center and hosted resources to create and manage private, public and hybrid clouds. Its Community Edition will appeal to open-source communities.”

Through its Enterprise Cloud Management software, Abiquo enables enterprises and managed service providers to easily create and manage private, dedicated, and hybrid clouds. Designed to meet strategic objectives, rather than as a temporary tactical fix, Abiquo is built on open standards, allowing organizations of all sizes to dramatically improve business agility, mitigate risk, and reduce costs.

With Abiquo, organizations can use business policy to manage an entire, globally deployed computing infrastructure, comprising unlimited physical and Cloud resources including private, public and hybrid Clouds through a “single pane of glass”.
